We are seeking a highly qualified Pathologist to provide expert pathology review and support oncology pre‑clinical studies and clinical trials, serving as a subject matter expert for oncology assets and a key contributor to cross‑functional teams. The role involves supporting assay development using advanced pathology and molecular techniques, including IHC, multiplex immunofluorescence, mRNA in situ hybridization, and digital pathology, to ensure clinical relevance and innovation. In addition, the position drives continuous improvement in pathology workflows and advises leadership on future pathology and translational research strategies.

Tasks & responsibilities
- Provide expert pathology review and slide interpretation for oncology pre‑clinical studies and clinical trial activities, serving as a pathology subject matter expert for oncology assets.
- Represent pathology on cross‑functional project teams, contributing to pathology‑related scientific decisions and strategic direction.
- Support research and development of primary antibodies, detection systems, probes, and special stains, ensuring alignment with clinical and translational goals.
- Contribute to the development and validation of novel assays using advanced platforms, including multiplex immunofluorescence (e.g., Comet), immunohistochemistry, mRNA in situ hybridization, and digital pathology.
- Drive innovation in molecular pathology and translational research through close collaboration with scientific teams to ensure clinical relevance and robust assay performance.
Requirements
- M.D. or D.V.M. degree with completion of an accredited Pathology Residency Training program.
- Board Certification in Anatomic Pathology (EU or USA) is preferred.
- Fellowship training with a minimum of one year of post‑training experience in clinical practice and/or industry.
- Demonstrated experience in immunohistochemistry, multiplex immunofluorescence, and molecular pathology.
- Experience with exploratory or translational assays in clinical trial settings is highly advantageous.

The remuneration for this position starts at EUR 81.810 gross annual target salary per year (full time). The actual salary package depends on professional experience and qualifications. We will be happy to discuss further details in person.
